| As the light changed, I painted over the picture, the light got a lot more dramatic in the evening, with the glow of the heater showing up more. |

Poecilotheria metallica
My P. metallica spiderling eating a cricket!
This ornamental tree spider comes from the forests of India where it hunts flying insects by grabbing them out of the sky. A rare gem in the hobby, this species is critically endangered due to logging on the single forest it resides in, thankfully it readily breeds in captivity.

Acanthogonatus pissi!
A new addition to my collection: Acanthogonatus pissi, or Chilean Zebra. It's a beautiful gold spider that makes lots of webs, here's a picture of mine!
